I’m Julie Schreiber and have taught at Fort Dodge Senior High for the past 5 years. I’m also a wife and mother of 3, all under the age of 5.
I’m excited to be the IFCSE president for the year. This organization is so important. IFCSE is here to help FCS educators with professional development, advocacy and networking with other FCS professionals.
My goals for this year is to increase communication to the members. I plan on sending out IFCSE news letters during the year. If you have some things you would like in the newsletter please email me. Remember this goes to membership only, so make sure you are member. You can fill out the membership form and send it to Lisa Breyfogle.
My 2nd goal is to increase membership, we are having a contest among the AEAs. The AEA who has the highest percentage of FCS teachers members belonging to IFCSE will get hospitality treats on me during the 2016 conference.
IFCSE is under the umbrella of Iowa Career Technical Education (IACTE) IACTE helps us with our goal of advocacy. IACTE already has dates to present at. The School Administrators Conference is August 5, Iowa School Counselor Conference November 1-3, Iowa School Board Conference, November 18-19, and a day at the Iowa Capital TBD. If you have students who would be great at presenting at these conferences, please let me know. We want FCS represented!!!
